vintage cast iron "Pup" paperweight, often attributed to manufacturers like Hubley or Griswold.Represents a puppy, sometimes with "PUP" or "GRISWOLD PUP 30" Some models are based on the 1914 "Fido Pup" Approximately 1 5/8 inches tall.

I used chalk to see weather it was a Griswold.

An authentic Griswold will have either a 30 on the back of its head or nothing on its head. The authentic Griswold ones that do not have the number 30 are the pups made in the earlier (~1937) run.

A seated or crouching puppy with detailed features, including floppy ears and a textured coat. Typically small, around 1.5 inches in height. Attributed to Hubley Manufacturing Company, sometimes in collaboration with Hines. Some versions may include advertising text, such as "Bucki Carbons Ribbons" or "Silent BLD".
