This is a set of four vintage octagonal mugs from Japan that are collectible because of their beautiful Imari-style design with floral patterns, blue birds, and metallic gold accents. There are two patterns in this set --- one depicts large peony blossoms and carefully detailed blue birds, while the other features plum blossoms and green/blue birds. The set includes two mugs of each.

As the condition statement and photographs attest, these vintage Imari-Style cups are in exceptional condition. For your convenience, we've labelled each cup from #1 to #4 and taken closeups from all angles. Cup #4 has a small chip in the base near the handle and its transfer pattern is slightly skewed. Mug #3 has two tiny black dots near the base of its handle. Please look at the last photos in the listing for a better understanding of the imperfections on those cups. Each mug has a capacity of 12 oz and is 3.8 inches tall. The mugs are made of fine Japanese porcelain, with an octagonal shape that makes them truly unique. Bring a little Springtime to your teacup or coffee mug collection, and do it with a collection of four --- enough for all your guests.
