Louis Philippe’s Delta Kiss was released by Humbug in 1993. Philippe Auclair, also known by his moniker Louis Philippe, is a French singer-songwriter, musician, news correspondent and football journalist who has been active from the mid-1980s onwards. Following the more experimental 'Rainfall' and 'Jean Renoir', 'Delta Kiss' saw Louis Philippe return to the 'pure pop' stylings of his él days, with jazz double bass player and pianist Danny Manners coming to the fore as accompanist and arranger for the first time - the start of a long collaboration. This album also sees the transition to a more orchestral sound, with the Covent Garden String Quartet appearing for the first time of many on a Louis Philippe album. Tracks are:
