Offered for sale is a faithfully reproduced metal hood part for a Hot Wheels redline Classic Cord. The photo shows the reproduction part sitting next to an original Classic Cord for comparison.
Please be aware that the hood clips are delicate and can break if forced onto a tight pin. It is advisable to first coat the pin with Vaseline to make it non-stick. Then file/open the clip sufficiently to allow it to be installed without applying pressure. Next close the clip with a small amount of super glue or epoxy while ensuring the hinge still operates properly. Users may need to perform careful filing adjustments to ensure precise hood fitting and operation. HAND POLISH ONLY. Use of a power tool will cause damage.
