1&The balde was made of folded steel in Maru structure smelted and pounded to fold 13 times to creat 8192 layers,Not only can remove the remain impurities of the carbon steel and better distribute the carbon to form the blank,But also allow the layers to bend at rates,it was Fully hand forged,hand shaping,hand polishing in the most traditional method of sword making.

2&A special clay was applied on the blade to control the rate at which the blades cools when quenced after grinding(rough finishing).The clay ensures carbon does not simply escape during this process.What's more,we are Applying different thicknesses of clay to the edge and spine(back) of the blade respectively(Differential hardening),a beautiful real hamon was appeared on the balde result of Differential hardening.

3&The blade was well heat treating (Refining) and quenching(Tempering) greatly improve the hardness and flexibility of the balde for real use.The blade comes with a full length Tang greatly enhances the strength of the sword while swung and it will be signed according to your requirements.(pls contact us through ebay message if you want to sign the DATE or NAME on the Tang)

4&The blade has been Fully hand polished with more than 18 process hand sharpening work in the most traditional Japanese craftmanship way.Making a mirror-like surface.It is also very sharp.What's more,the balde was hand polished by HAZUYA left with a white visible abrasive area on the surface of the blade.HAZUYA is a kind of very thin Uchigumori stone fixed with paper which is a specific stone to bring up hamon, It is very soft against the steel.The point of the blade is medium length.(Chu Kissaki).It is strong enough for battle realy and heavy cutting.

&Tsuba: The Tsuba (guard) is made of Brass. The Habiki (blade collar) is a one piece brass construction. Two Seppas (spacer) secure the Tsuba.

6&Tsuka:  The Tsuka (handle) core is wooden and it is tightly wrapped over genuine Ray skin Samegawa with a synthetic silk Ito. The Tang of the sword is secured by two Mekugi (peg). Two copper Menuki (ornament) are on each side of the Tsuka.

7&Saya: The saya (sheath) of the sword is hard wooded with gloss finished. A cord Sage-O has been tied around the bright copper Kurigaga (knob) of the scabbard. the Koiguchi has been hardened.

NOTE:

(1)  A silk sword bag comes with the sword. but the wooden stand  in below item pictures is NOT included.

(3) This Katana can be taken apart fully anytime for maintenance purposes, you can disassemble the sword from the handle by taking out two pegs.
