The ZOYI ZT-DB02 is a compact non-contact AC voltage tester pen designed for quickly detecting the presence of AC voltage without making direct electrical contact with exposed conductors.

Featuring two selectable sensitivity ranges of 12–1000V AC and 48–1000V AC, the ZT-DB02 can be adapted for different electrical testing situations, from low-voltage AC signals to mains wiring.

When AC voltage is detected, the tester provides visual LED indication and an audible buzzer. Its LCD display helps indicate detection strength, while the built-in LED torch provides useful illumination inside consumer units, cabinets, lofts and other dark work areas.

Dual-Range NCV Sensitivity

Different electrical environments require different sensitivity. The ZT-DB02 allows the user to switch between two AC detection ranges to improve control when testing cables and electrical equipment.

High Sensitivity — 12–1000V AC Designed to detect weaker AC electric fields and lower-voltage AC circuits. Useful where increased detector sensitivity is required.

Low Sensitivity — 48–1000V AC Useful for standard mains-voltage checks and situations where reduced sensitivity helps distinguish between nearby conductors.

Sound & Visual Voltage Indication

Move the sensing tip towards the insulated conductor or socket being checked. When an AC electric field is detected, the tester responds with visual and audible indication.

LED indication provides a clear visual alert.
Audible buzzer confirms voltage detection.
Detection indication increases as the sensed electric field becomes stronger.
LCD information helps show detector status and signal strength.

Live & Neutral Wire Identification

The ZT-DB02 can assist with identifying live and neutral conductors by comparing the strength of the detected AC electric field. This is useful when checking sockets, switches, cables and electrical installations.

Important: NCV testers respond to surrounding electric fields. Detection can be affected by cable shielding, conductor depth, insulation, nearby live wires, grounding conditions and the orientation of the tester.

Wire Breakpoint & Cable Tracing

When testing an accessible energised AC cable, the NCV function can help trace voltage along the cable. A significant change or disappearance in the detected electric field may help identify the approximate location of a wiring interruption.
