"Well,the first thing I’ll say was that finding an azimuth post (dowel)for an EQ6 Skywatcher/Saxon from a shop online in Australia was more difficult than you would think….lucky for me I found Astrodog who had them in stock! A few things to note about It. Made from stainless steel and shape and size identical to Skywatcher/Saxon one. Extremely well machined. It also had a nut on the threaded part of the dowel that screws into the pier or tripod which gave you the ability to position the post where you need It.
