NOTE: The brass grommets are intended as tie-out points for securing the footprint to the tent stakes. They are not designed for the tent poles to be inserted into the corners.

Q: Why is the standard footprint dimension smaller than the actual size of the MSR Access 2 tent?
A: A smaller footprint prevents water from collecting between the footprint and the tent floor. We deduct a standard 4" from the tent dimensions to account for this.
Q: Do your Tyvek footprints include the straps or buckles some manufacturers provide to attach tent poles?
A: No, our footprints are designed to be staked or tied out, but the footprint can be modified by the buyer to meet their specific needs.
Q: Does the footprint also cover the vestibule area of my tent?
A: No, our footprints are designed to protect the tent floor. Extending the footprint beyond the tent floor can trap rainwater and direct it under the tent. However, we can custom-manufacture a footprint to your desired dimensions.
Q: I would like the footprint dimensions smaller or larger than the footprint dimensions listed here.
A: Not a problem if the difference is a few inches or less. At checkout, you will see the option to add a message to the seller. Send us a note with your desired dimensions, and we will custom-manufacture a Tyvek footprint to those specifications.
Q: Does it matter if the printed side is face up or face down?
A: It is recommended to place the printed side facing down.
Q: I've heard that Tyvek is stiff and noisy
A: Tyvek footprints will soften and become quieter with more use. Tyvek can also be washed without detergent on the delicate cycle and in cold water; this will soften the footprint. Never place it in the clothes dryer.

A: All footprints are folded flat, and shipped in a recyclable 13" x 10" recyclable shipping envelope
