FL-2100B is an all-mode HF linear amplifier for amateur radio manufactured by Yaesu. This amplifier was manufactured between 1971 and 197x and is no longer in production.The FL-2100B was designed to visually and performance match transceivers such as the FT-101E and FT-101B/277B, and covers the amateur radio bands from 80 meters to 10 meters band It covers the 80 to 10 meter band.
The amplifier uses a pair of Type 572B/T160 transmitting triodes and operates in a Class B grounded grid circuit configuration. As outputs, it provides up to 1.2 KW of PEP input in SSB mode, 1 KW in CW mode, and 600 W of DC input in AM mode. An automatic level control circuit is included to control the gain of the exciter for maximum average output.
Cooling is provided by two high-speed fans for forced air cooling, and a bias cutoff circuit sets the tubes to cutoff during reception to prevent unwanted heat and diode noise generation. A built-in SWR bridge allows measurement of SWR for direct and linear operation.
The power supply is a built-in solid-state power supply that provides excellent voltage regulation without warm-up time.FL-2100B dimensions are 340 mm wide, 153 mm high, and 285 mm deep, and it weighs approximately 19 kg.
