This 1976 German 3LP box set from Deutsche Grammophon (2740 159) features a performance of Otto Nicholai's Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor (The Merry Wives of Windsor). The opera is performed in part by the Staatskapelle Berlin, conducted by Bernhard Klee.

Inside is a 41-page booklet containing notes and the lyrics of the opera. They are provided in German, English, and French.

The box has a small cutout on the lower right side. The cutout went through both layers of the box, but left the booklet and inner sleeves untouched.

There is a sticker on the bottom of the spine that reads "3 LP STEREO 2709 065" (this sticker apparently indicates that it was imported to the US). The box also shows a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back (Photo 2).

This is one of many titles from an extensive collection of classical LPs and CDs that we will be listing here. All have been carefully stored for many years, played only on premium equipment, and show little to no wear.
