Synopsis:
High schooler Nanami Momozono's life takes a downturn when her absentee father’s extreme debt leaves them homeless. Wandering the streets, she encounters a man harassed by a dog and helps him. Grateful, he offers her his home, but Nanami is shocked to find it’s a rundown shrine. Attempting to leave, she is stopped by two shrine spirits and a fox familiar named Tomoe, who mistake her for Mikage, the land god of the shrine.
Understanding that Mikage sent her as a
replacement god, Tomoe abandons her, refusing to serve a human. Determined not
to be homeless again, Nanami embraces her divine duties. Realizing she needs
Tomoe’s help, she seeks him out, landing in trouble and sealing a contract with
him. Together, they navigate the challenges of godhood, facing threats from a
youkai who wants to devour Nanami, a snake who wants to marry her, and Nanami's
growing feelings for her new familiar. Follow their journey as they strive to keep
the shrine running and confront their evolving relationship in this enchanting
romcom.
