If your Ford vehicle with an Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) is only blowing air through the defrost vents, the EATC O-rings are likely worn out.

First, check for blown fuses and other issues, but the O-rings are a common problem. This affects many Crown Victoria, Mercury, and F-150 owners, and any Ford with EATC can have this issue.
