This ink stone is imitation of Songhua River Green Stone Bell Shape Ink Stone. For memories of Aoyama San'u.
The original ink stone is one of Aoyama San'u enthusiastically collected throughout his lifetime together with his selected masterworks.
"松花江緑石鐘形硯" 'Songhua River Green Stone Bell Shape Ink Stone' Qing Dynasty, 17th-19th century, Tokyo National Museum.
On the side of the inkstone tail, there is an inscription," 楊 濠叟 " the name of the Qing Dynasty calligrapher Yang Yisun " 楊沂孫 ".

Aoyama San'u " 青山杉雨 " June 6, 1912 - February 13, 1993), whose real name was Fumio Aoyama , male, Japanese calligrapher and collector, Daito Bunka University Professor, recipient of the Japanese Cultural Medal.
Aoyama San'u was a prominent calligrapher during the Showa and the Heisei eras. He studied under Nishikawa Yasushi, and while producing works he avidly studied classics. As he reached his pinnacle as an artist, he also worked earnestly to spread and teach Chinese-style calligraphy methods through his many writings and lectures. He was awarded the Order of Culture in 1992.
Biography
1912 : Born in Oaza Murakuno, Kusai Village, Haguri District, Aichi Prefecture .His real name is Fumio. His name was Sugisame.
1961 : 49 years old Became the first director of the Kenshin Calligraphy Association.
1983 : 71 years old Elected as a member of the Japan Art Academy.
1992 : 80 years old Receives the Order of Culture.
1993 : 81 years old Passed away on February 13th. He passed away at the age of 81. He was awarded Junior Third Rank and a pair of silver cups.
