The WHW was an organization in WW2 Germany that handed out tokens of appreciation such as these pins for citizen's support of the war. Known as the Winter Relief of the German People or WHW for short. The Winterhilfswerk was originally an organization to help people during the Great Depression but soon became part of German propaganda showcasing the strength and solidarity of the German People.

One is missing the pin on back and a couple have had replacement stones put on after the old ones fell off but they are in good shape and they are really cool pieces of WW2 history.  It's interesting to think who created these designs, when/where they were given out, how they made their way to the US and how many times they've changed hands throughout history.
