This is a Victorian Old Head Penny dated 1896.

The coin has not really been in circulation and is in a high grade of coin condition- Extremely Fine (EF).

However, somebody has stamped (impressed) the date of 24th September 1896 (24/9/96) on the obverse flan..

Destroyed from a numismatic point of view, but interesting for someone who sees that date as significant.
