‘S’ shaped steel canvas offset with slotted hole.

The slotted fixing hole in this canvas offset makes it easy to precisely align a canvas in a tray frame, especially when you have allowed for a larger shadow gap.

Place the canvas approximately where you want to fix it then screw through the slots leaving a little slackness. Move the canvas until you are happy with the position, then tighten the screws.

Also useful for making shadow box frames and stacked frames.

Many framers have found that they work well the other way round, to hold the sandwich in a frame when it is shallower than the rebate.
