Whether for outdoor picnicking or to set the 'kids table' at family get togethers, this sturdy tableware with its fun pattern will be appreciated by grownups and kids alike.
This offer is for one 4-piece place setting: Cup, bowl, salad/bread plate and dinner plate. Condition is practically pristine. Some plates have a few very faint scratches from silverware - too faint to show up on photos.
Made in China in 1999 by Sakura. Sakura designs are beloved and if cared for can be passed on from kids to grandkids to enjoy.
Melamine first came into widespread use for tableware in the 1960s. Its persistence in production of beautiful new items and as collectibles for resale demonstrates that it can stand up to generations of use.
Melamine will blister under high heat like a microwave, a hot pan set on it, or if it is placed on a hot burner. Other than that, handwashing with a microfiber cloth and a strong dish detergent will keep it looking fresh and new.
We've set a FLAT RATE SHIPPING regardless of distance or quantity purchased -- to make your decision easy! We'll absorb any shipping costs above the amount shown below.
We'll be listing more melamine items as we continue to downsize. Thank you for looking!
Only the item(s) described above is offered for sale. Any props are not included.
We re-use packaging materials.
Delicate items will be double-boxed.
We gently clean items, usually with a mild dish soap and water to remove dust and dirt.
We do not normally scrub, polish or repair items for sale; if we do it will be noted in the item description.
*Recommended care for your vintage, MCM or antique purchases: hand-wash; always place something between each stacked piece of dinnerware for storage in cupboard or cabinet to avoid scratches (relatively inexpensive felt rounds are available for this purpose, but even a paper towel or coffee filter will do); we use mild dishwashing liquid and microfiber cloth to clean our collectibles and to avoid scratching; always store sterling in bags if not in daily use—paper (unless special anti-tarnish non-acidic and non-outgassing paper) will increase tarnishing. Do not store gold-trimmed items in paper which is abrasive and can wear away the gilt.
