Profusely and lavishly illustrated- two continents five centuries of art, 150 pictures in full colour. Belgium artist Luc Tuymans and curator of the Palace Museum  Beijing Yu Hui initiate a dialogue between art from the Low Countries and from China. 
Drawings and painting from Van Eyck, Brueghel, Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens, Ensor Mellery, Spilliaert and Margritte confront works on silk and paper from the Ming and Qing dynasties and the early Chinese Republic held  in the forbidden city of Beijing.
