Antique small earthenware or stoneware jug / crock with lid found at a garage sale in the Appalachian mountains/Blue Ridge area.

This thing is STURDY. The brown glaze finish on the outside is not perfect, but I’m sure it was functional. Lid sits deep in the jug. No cracks or scrapes that weren’t there in production, just the spots where it looks like the glaze didn’t “take.”

Stands about 5” tall and 6” wide.

Weighs 2 lb 12.4 oz- very heavy for its size!
