Swimming Pool Pump Motor Installation Instructions

1. After arrival, check the product for any mechanical damage such as bumps or deformation. Then turn the motor shaft by hand to check whether the rotation is smooth. If there is obvious damage, the motor shaft is stuck or makes abnormal noise, do not assemble.

2. Compare the nameplate parameters of the old motor and the newly purchased motor, mainly compare the power (HP), voltage, and speed, and confirm that the three parameters are consistent before use.
3. Use a multimeter to confirm the power supply voltage.
4. Remove the junction box cover, and adjust the wiring to a wiring method that matches the power supply voltage according to the wiring diagram inside the junction box (refer to the wiring video on the website).
5. For motors marked with dual voltage on the motor nameplate, the factory default wiring is 230V. If there is only a single voltage on the nameplate, the value on the motor nameplate shall prevail.
6. When assembling the swimming pool pump, for products equipped with accessories, make sure that the accessories are consistent with the original parts before assembly. During the assembly process, confirm that the parts are installed in place without interference or friction.
7. After the installation is completed, do not connect the water pipes. First, connect the power supply to the motor and run it without load. Detect the no-load running current. If the current is lower than the nameplate current value, it is normal. If the current value is significantly higher than the nameplate current value, it needs to be disassembled and checked for wiring errors, installation interference, friction, etc. After checking, power on again.
8. Connect the inlet and outlet pipes. After the connection is completed, pay attention to replenishing the water inlet pipes. Because this type of vane pump has poor self-priming ability, manual replenishment is required. In order to facilitate subsequent use, it is recommended to add a one-way valve to the water inlet to ensure that after the water pump stops, the water in the water inlet will not flow back into the swimming pool. It can be started directly next time without manual replenishment.
