This exceptional vintage English sterling silver casterhas a tapering cylindrical form, in the Design style.
The lower portion of the body is embellished with an impressive chased decorated trellis design.
This exceptional example of silver teaware retains the original hallmarked push fit cover, encircled with panels of pierced geometric motifs; reflecting a variation of the Design style trellis design to the body.
The cover is surmounted by a tapering rounded sterling silver finial.
ConditionThis vintage silver sugar caster is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
The caster has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside and part hallmarks to the sleeve of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver.
