"Information about the publications listed was obtained from two requests asking Museums (institution members of the American Association of Museums, excluding historic houses, national park sites, and other sources, including planetariums and observatories; zoos and aquariums; botanical gardens and herbariums) for current lists of their available publications. The first request was made in January 1960; the second request was made in April 1961, when notice of publications issued since the date of the previously received list, and of publications to be issued 1961-2, was requested."
