Our Egyptian Blue Nile was inspired by the great river of North Africa; Blue Nile ( 'Abbai in Amharic, or النيل الأزرق "an-Nīl al-Āzraq" in Arabic), which forms the "Nile" together with the White Nile as the two meet in the Khartoum area of Sudan. The Blue Nile has given life to barren lands since times past ~ the overflow of the river contributed to the fertility of the Nile Valley, and the subsequent rise of the ancient Egyptian civilization and its mythology.
