This is a very nice antique early 19th century English stipple engraving entitled "A Pedler" depicting a Chinese peddler by J. Dadley, after Pu-Qua. This engraving dates from 1800 and was taken from Mason's famous illustrated survey of the costume of China.

Approximate size without frame: 12" (30.48 cm) high by 8 7/8" (22.54 cm) wide (what is visible of engraving). With frame, 16 1/4" (41.27) high by 13 1/4" (33.65) wide.

Condition: Good, some foxing / toning and wear to frame.
