The Carrier

Le Transporteur (The Transporter in English) is a French film directed by Louis Leterrier and Corey Yuen, released in 2002.

The film stars Jason Statham as Frank Martin, a "carrier" who delivers anything and anywhere and no questions asked for the right price.

The first opus of a trilogy, it was followed by Transporter 2 in 2005 and Transporter 3 in 2008 before it underwent a reboot/prequel with Transporter: Legacy, released in 2015. A television series was also created in 2012 with Chris Vance in the lead role.

Despite a mixed critical reception, the film was a box office success and grossed more than $43 million.

Synopsis

Frank Martin, a former special forces reconnaissance soldier, lends his services as an expert driver to anyone who pays him. His main personal rules are not to get personally involved in the affairs he participates in, in a purely instrumental way.

    Rule #1: Never modify the contract.
    Rule #2: No name.
    Rule #3: Never open the package.
    Rule #4: Do not break the rules under any circumstances.

However, when, during a transport, Frank transgresses rule no. 3, and he discovers a young woman tied up in his trunk, he will then have to pay the price of the transgression by now fleeing not only the police, but also ruthless gangsters, who have made him their target. Because now he knows too much.
