Stock Speidel gaskets are made from rubber. They “sandwich” between the vessel and the accessory. Nothing holds the gasket in place as you screw on and tighten the plastic orange ring onto the Speidel.

This “sandwich” method - under tightening torque - makes the gasket prone to slippage and displacement, which inevitably leads to leaks.

NorCal Brewing Solutions developed this custom gasket to be SUPERIOR to the stock gasket because it WRAPS AROUND the accessory disc, sealing on 3 sides!
