This is a larger collage by contemporary artist Bianca Leeroy. Isn't it funny how so many collages are done in a smaller format? This one measures 14 in x 11 in. For a painting, that would be small, but for most collages I see these days that would be a little larger than average. This one seems to have a strong Japanese feel to it, design-wise, formalistically. The colors are exuberant and the feeling for this viewer is of spring. I realize it's abstract, but I sort of see a child running outside with a bird gathering up a worm behind him...or her? That's just my interpretation. I'm sure you could turn the work a quarter-turn and see something completely different. That's the beauty of abstraction. This is obviously an original work and not a print.
