These gas springs are engineered and manufactured to industry OEM standards to provide the necessary lift support you need. To ensure safely, we recommend replacing gas springs in pairs when applicable.
Disassembly and Installation:
Before removing the old lift supports, inspect the end connections and compare them the units on your vehicle to make sure that they are the same as well as the extended length.
Step 1:Find Someone or Props hold the hatch, hood or rear window open while replacing the lift support, so that they can raise or lower it as needed.
Step 2:Remove the lift support struts retaining clips by using a flat head screwdriver.
Step 3:Slowly turn the screw driver and it will lift up the retaining clips. Then pull the support away from the vehicle and it will
release.
Step 4:To install the new supports do the same procedure in the reverse. DO NOT jam the new support end over the ball socket without lifting the retaining clips slightly damage may occur.
Step 5:Push the strut onto the ball joint. Place the strut over the ball joint and use your tool to apply pressure until it pops into place.
Step 6:Move the Props to see whether the supports work good.
