SVBONY SV215 1.25inch 3-8mm Planetary Zoom Eyepiece for Planetary Observation
.
🌙 Tired of swapping multiple eyepieces mid-observation, losing focus, or struggling to get sharp, detailed views of the Moon and planets?
The SVBONY SV215 1.25" 3-8mm Planetary Zoom Eyepiece is your all-in-one solution! Replace a full set of high-power fixed eyepieces with one versatile tool—delivering crisp, high-contrast views across a 3-8mm zoom range, staying parfocal as you adjust magnification, and fitting all standard 1.25" telescopes. Spend less time fumbling with gear and more time enjoying stunning lunar and planetary details, whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate stargazer.
Constant Field of View:
56°The parfocal zoom eyepiece ensures that there is no need to break away form your observing to change the focal length and you don’t have to refocus after changing the focal length, which brings great convenience for visual astronomy. The generous 56° FOV and smooth zoom action with click-stops at 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8mm are for quick changes to precise preset magnifications.
Constant Eye Relief: 10mm
he parfocal eyepiece features a relatively constant 10mm eye relief through the entire zoom range and it is available to get a higher magnification without eye relief sacrificing, comfortable for observing.
FMC Optics & Lens Edges Blackened
Fully multi-coated and the high index 6-elements/ 4 groups optics ensure high light transmission, and the blackened edge of every glass reduces stray light for excellent and high-contrast images.
1.25” Interface & M28.5*0.6 Thread
The eyepiece is threaded for a filter (standard M28*0.6 female thread) and the barrel interface diameter is 1.25” for connecting to a telescope for visual celestial astronomy, like moon, solar and planetary at a broad range of focal lengths.

🎯 Ideal Observation Targets (Lunar & Planetary Focus)
This eyepiece is optimized for planetary and lunar observation—perfect for capturing fine details that standard eyepieces miss, with a 3-8mm high-power zoom range ideal for close-up views:
• Moon: Sharp views of lunar craters (Tycho, Copernicus), mountain ranges, rilles, and the terminator line (where light and shadow create dramatic contrast), revealing texture and depth you won’t see with low-power eyepieces.
• Planets: Clear, detailed views of Jupiter (cloud bands, Great Red Spot, and its four largest moons), Saturn (rings, Cassini Division, and Saturn’s moons), Mars (polar ice caps and surface markings), Venus (phases), and Mercury (when visible).
• Other Targets: Tight double stars (e.g., Mizar-Alcor) and bright, compact star clusters (e.g., M13 Hercules), where high magnification reveals individual stars and their patterns.

👤 Who This Eyepiece Is For
Beginner Astronomers: Perfect for those new to stargazing—no need to buy multiple fixed eyepieces; one zoom eyepiece covers all high-power needs, simplifying your setup.
Intermediate Stargazers: Ideal for those focused on planetary/lunar detail—parfocal design and high contrast deliver professional-level views without the hassle of gear swapping.
1.25" Telescope Owners: Universal 1.25" fitting works seamlessly with most refractors, SCTs, Maksutov telescopes, and dobsonians with 1.25" focusers.
Casual & Travel Stargazers: Compact, lightweight design replaces 3-5 fixed eyepieces, saving space in your gear bag for easy transport.
Glasses Wearers: Constant 10mm eye relief at all zoom levels ensures comfortable, strain-free viewing—no need to remove your glasses.
