MECHANICAL:
This cameras shutter fires in each speeds. The aperture closure moves smoothly, no oil on either aperture or shutter blade. Film winding knob and shutter release works. Please check attached video. Shutter and aperture blade is maintenance.
OPTICAL CONDITION:
View and take lenses are very clear. No haze, no fog, no balsam separation, no fungus. Slightly little dust might be exist, but no effect on taken film.
We did not tested by film. Selling As Is.
IMPRESSION of USAGE:
This Primoflex model IB started selling in 1952. Lens is Tokyo Opt.Co. (TOKO) f/3.5 7.5cm. Method of usage is as follows. Insert the film and wind up the film till '1' reach to the red window. Close the back lid and lock.
Press the button locate the winding knob, and same time move down of the notch between the winding and focusing knob. The counter shows 1. Take a shot, and press the button of the center of the winding knob and wind the knob till it stops at 2. and goes on till 12.
Shutter charge lever locates right side of take lens, aperture lever under the take lens. Shutter release button in right down corner.
It has a frennel lens, so finder glass is very bright and easy to focus and determine the composition. This product has been manufactured 69 years ago, but it still moves smoothly. Interestingly the Tokyo optical was delivering of opticals to Japanese Army during WWⅡ. Japanese Army accented the performance of Tokyo Optical.
