Vintage Antique Wilson Chemical Co. Print “A Neighborly Call” Tyrone, PA.

This is an original vintage Wilson Chemical Co print from the early 1900’s. This print is hard to find. This is copyrighted in 1912 by P.D. Thomas, as indicated in the bottom right corner of the print. These antiques were originally given away with the salve that was manufactured and sold by the Wilson Chemical Co of Tyrone, PA.

This print is framed and is under glass. There is dirt between the glass and print, likely from attic storage over the years. The frame appears original and is backed with a compressed particle backing. The appears to have been paper covering the backing, but it has been lost over time. The backing is secured by finishing nails. There is a wire hanger secured by two eye screws on each side. There appears to be a crease on the center left of the picture. There also appears to be a liquid stain or possibly weathering on the upper left side. The signature of the original artist, R. Atkinson Fox is visible in the lower left corner, above the number 357.
