[FRONT MATTER]
"The Irish National Caucus is the Irish Lobby in Washington D.C. With the opening of its National Office in 1978, the INC became the only organization in history to ever maintain headquarters on Capital Hill to lobby Congress for justice and peace in Ireland.
The [INC] is non-violent and non-sectarian. It has no foreign principal and does not support, morally or financially, any group or party in any part of Ireland. It does not send money to Ireland. All its funds are raised and spent in the United States getting America to take a stand for human rights in Ireland. (...)
In 1984, the [INC] initiated, proposed and launched the MacBride Principles -- named after Nobel Peace Prize winner Sean MacBride. Mr. MacBride served as the INC Liaison in Ireland from 1979 , until his death in 1988."
