There is no chips or cracks in the body. The rim is a break away which is very common. This does not affect the look or structure at all. The side were designed to hold quills. The pictures you see are good. The look is coming from they heavy hammered sand textured look. There is also many very beautiful air bubbles in the glass giving it a very nice look. There is some surface wear and build up but not really even seen if it was there due to the texture. There is also two spots where very large pieces of debris is trapped in the glass when being made. It gives it a whole new look to the glass. A very beautiful looking piece. Item # A - 1548
