The Chicago Hornets Souvenir Program played at Soldier field is in very good

The Hornets were previously called the Chicago Rockets.
The name change came in final year of the All-American Football League.
This day the Rockets lost to the Dons 24-14 on October 28th, 
Jonny Clement  of the Rockets threw and ran for 2 touchdown's,
George Taliaferro had 2 rushing touchdowns for Dons
.
The AAFL competed against NFL for 4 years 1946 - 1949. It was founded by Arch Ward
with famous investors such as film star Don Ameche, boxing champion Gene Tunney
and Eleanor Gehrig widow of baseball great Lou Gehrig.
The league is best know for breaking color barrier in Sept of 1946 when 2 black
athletes played for the Cleveland Browns.
