Description

The Tar Topper D/E has been designed to impart a correct vintage look to modern group 24 batteries. It will fit virtually any Delco, Exide, NAPA, flat top, maintenance free battery, and most group 24 batteries with the original terminal spacing. As seen in the product photos, It lips approximately 1/2 inch over the top of the battery for a convincing look. In some applications, it may be advisable to slightly trim the perimeter for a better fit.

As can be seen in the cutaway, it is easily trimmed (primary construction is .090 temp resistant ABS). The top dimensions of the D/E are identical to an original group 24 battery so that all original hold downs (including G.M. perimeter types) will work.
