This may include ECU/PCM, TCU/Mechatronics, ABS/DSC, BCM, SRS/Airbag, Instrument Cluster, Gateway, etc. All sales are final.
- Mandatory adaptation/coding: Many modules require coding/variant coding, VIN write, immobilizer/key pairing, or online authorization (e.g., BMW CAS, DME/DDE sync; VAG Component Protection). Without correct setup the vehicle may crank no-start, run poorly, or show network faults.
- Programming risks: Use a stable battery support supply during any flash/update. Power loss or unstable chargers can corrupt firmware and render the unit unusable. Buyer accepts all programming risk.
- Calibrations after install: Throttle adaptation, injector/IQA coding, cam/crank relearn, steering angle, ABS yaw/longitudinal, ride-height/level, NOx/DPF regen, TPMS IDs, transmission/clutch adaptations, etc., are the buyers responsibility.
- Security/lock states: Modules may be VIN-locked, region-locked, or protected (PATS/NATS/SGW/CP). Dealer/specialist services, subscriptions, PINs or seed-keys are not included.
- Vehicle faults: Wiring shorts, poor grounds, CAN errors, moisture/corrosion, or outdated vehicle software can damage modules or block communication. Diagnose the vehicle first; no labor/diagnostic/towing/downtime coverage.
Instrument Cluster ? Coding Required:
Instrument clusters must be coded/programmed to your vehicle before they will operate correctly. This includes VIN adaptation, mileage synchronization, immobilizer/anti-theft pairing, and enabling of vehicle-specific options. Simply installing the unit will not make it functional.
Professional setup with dealer or specialist diagnostic tools (e.g., STAR Diagnosis, ISTA/INPA, VCDS/ODIS, Techstream) is strongly recommended. Compatibility, coding, and programming services are the buyer?s responsibility.
Final notice: Incorrect adaptation, programming, or installation can cause no-start, drivability issues, or new fault codes. Seller does not reimburse diagnostics, programming fees, or consequential costs.
