This limited edition set of three books are biligual; side-by-side in French and English. Created in 1979 for the year of the Child. As some of you might remember, UNESCO proclaimed 1979 as the International Year of the Child. The proclamation was signed on January 1, 1979 by United Nations Secretary General Kurt Waldheim. The letter from Waldheim is pictured in the first volume, along with many other government officials.

About the Books:

--The 1st book has picture essays with discussions, questions, and governor letters speaking of 'The Year of the Children' all interlaced with beautiful photos of children.

--The 2nd one is full of classic short stories all centered around children (of course) and again interlaced with incredible artwork and photography.

--and the 3rd one in my opinion is the jewel of the set, The World of the Fairy Tale. As I flip through this third book as I write this up, I realized that there is so much more cool artwork that I could have posted another 20 pictures of awesome art by a plethroa of artists including:
