You are getting the '77 to early '79 case. To make this case work for your bike You yourself must make the modifications listed/pictured and use the recommended parts.
Modifications: You will need to remove the inner primary mount ears as well as the other tab. Then you will need to reshape the machined area. After doing so, you will have an early-style case to work for your bike.
Parts: You must use '77-up main drive gear, press-in needle bearings (#8905), spacer (#3570-77) and early seal (#35230-37).
All your other stock parts will fit.
