Curuppumullage Jinarajadasa was a Sri Lankan scholar, lecturer and writer who served as the fourth President of the Theosophical Society based in India from 1945-1953. He was one of the founding members of the Order of the Brothers of Service, and in 1934 he succeeded C.W.Leadbeater as Outer Head of the Esoteric School of Theosophy. One of the foremost Theosophical writers, in 1913 he was awarded the Subba Row Medal for his extensive contributions to Theosophical literature.
