The switch lock fixes the positions and limits the movement of the movable part of the switch. The shift detent pin is inserted into the hole, thereby determining the number of positions. For example, the latch pin in the switches: 2 positions (2P) - installed in the first hole; 7 positions (7P) - installed in the sixth hole; 11 positions (11P) - bends back. The number of positions can be made more or less depending on the number of holes in the retainer and the location of the pin. Each biscuit consists of a movable part - a rotator and a fixed part - a stator. On the rotator are fixed switching plates with protrusions. 12 petals are fixed on the stator in a circle every 30 degrees. The long petals are in constant contact with the switching plate, and the short petals are in contact when switching.
