Due to the increased costs from current international tariffs, our kits will temporarily ship without relays or trimming resistors. This adjustment helps us keep prices stable. Once market conditions improve, we plan to include them again.
For those items, you can easily order quality replacements from authorized suppliers such as Mouser or Digi-Key. In practice:
Trimming resistors rarely need replacement ? original parts can be cleaned with DeoxIT or similar if needed, while modern sealed types are simply an upgrade.
Relays are usually serviceable as-is, though the internal contacts may occasionally need burnishing if oxidation causes poor contact.

IMPORTANT! The SU-V8 uses four filter caps we do NOT stock. As of this listing (September 2024) Digikey stocks an appropriate replacement for $12.50 each. Those are drop in replacements with the correct diameter and pinout. We will provide buyers with the correct information to order them from Digikey themselves. USA sourced - Mouser, Digikey, TTI, etc.

As of late 2021, With current supply chain problems, we have seen recent increases in prices on electronic parts and a decrease in availability. Those same supply chain problems make sourcing all parts needed for a restoration almost impossible via one distributor like Mouser or Digikey, this kit will save hours of time, much hassle and shipping costs from multiple suppliers.

Every kit includes a parts list that includes their board and board locations. Parts are separated by board.

Instruction and Hint Sheet. We have compiled an extensive yet easy to read instruction and hint sheet. Written for the novice it also includes some "hints" and "tricks" even the experienced have found useful.
Background
We have been lovers of all things hi-fi for a very long time. We have repaired and restored 100's of units over the years.
Kits and documentation take advantage of our experience as well as the cumulative experience of others in this hobby.

Pictures are for reference only. With well over 200 units listed, the options above for each unit and changing stock due to part availability, the picture may or may not be accurate for your unit. Rest assured the kit will be. This is a challenge of marketing, sourcing and time, not quality.
As of late 2021, supply chain problems are real. We have bought in bulk for standard caps, transistors etc. but occasionally a high volume of orders may lead to absent stock. It's rare, but occasionally we will have to ship a particular part out separately. If so, we will do so ASAP and notify you when you place your order. In almost all cases any tardy parts will ship to you within a week.
Service Manual and/or packing errors do happen. Again, this is rare but it happens. Simply contact us with any missing/mistaken parts and we will ship them to you free and fast.
If you are unhappy with the kit for any reason, simply return it for a full refund. Change your mind, return it. Your spouse sold the unit while you were sleeping, return it. Having sold well over 500 of these kits in our first year of doing so, we don't worry about the rare return.
If ordering a deluxe or ultimate kit, only DC offset, Bias and Power supply voltage adjustment trimmers are included. Tuning and other less critical tuners are NOT included. Standard kits do NOT include any trimmers.
If you do not receive the PDF documents via email before the kit arrives, contact us when it does. We strive to send these out the day we ship your kit but things can get busy. The pdf docs are sent to the email address associated with your Ebay account.
PLEASE - after purchase if you need to correspond do it via email if possible. The Ebay messaging system can be cumbersome. Thanks!

Customers located in the USA will have their kit shipped via USPS with tracking. In almost all cases kits ship within one business day of purchase.
If you live outside the USA, kits are shipped via the EBAY international shipping program. If you are reading this and shipping to your location is NOT an option - simply contact us.
