Part of our range of home furnishings made from authentic moquette fabric from the golden days of bus and coach travel, this 40cm cushion features the design 'Royal Tiger Lines' which could be found in motor coaches the length and breadth of the country in the last century and still features in many preserved vehicles found in traffic to this day.

About the Design
The Leyland Motor Company exhibited a groundbreaking design of new motor coach, the Royal Tiger, at the 1950 Commercial Motor Show at Earls Court. Featuring a new chassis with the engine mounted under the floor of the passenger saloon, the vehicle had a sleek modern appearance, which presaged the visual style of the "Festival of Britain" exhibition which took place in London the following year.

Many of these vehicles featured an eye-catching new design of internal upholstery, called 'Royal Tiger Lines'.  282 of these vehicles were built and saw service all over the country, although more than half of them were owned by Ribble Motor Services and were used on that organisations network of express services across the North West of England and into Scotland.
