Hardcover, in the original publisher blindstamped cloth binding. Shows considerable wear and fraying of cloth to spine ends. Corners show wear. Book is missing the front free endpaper. There is foxing/spotting to frontis illustration and the formal, engraved title page at the very beginning of the book. There is no foxing internally. Clean, unmarked copy that I will call Fair-Good. Measures 6 5/8 X 10, 779 pages. A SCARCE FEW copies of this book can be found on other internet booksites, with earlier editions selling for upwards of $595!! Contemporary reprints are available for upwards of $98!!! I will offer this worn, but very usable copy for only $45.00 plus $6.00 S&H in the US.
