Kson 80mm / 400mm f/5 Refractor Telescope (OTA)
DESCRIPTION
The Kson 80mm f/5 achromatic refractor telescope is outfitted for
astronomical observation. It's a compact, wide-field, take-anywhere
astronomical telescope, which delivers bright, expansive views. The telescope's
80mm objective lens and short 400mm (f/5) focal length are ideal for scanning
the heavens. Its wide field of view makes it a great choice for viewing big deep
sky targets, and its portable size makes it easy to bring along on trips to dark
skies. You'll see fascinating star clusters, nebulas, and even galaxies, but
this quality refractor also serves up great images of the Moon's cratered
surface, Saturn's rings, and other solar system targets.
The doublet
objective lens is multi-coated for excellent light transmission, and the build
quality is excellent - an all metal tube, with a 1.25" rack-and-pinion focuser
on one end and a metal dew shield on the other that extends out to slow dew
formation and block glare.
Special Features
- Integrated Vixen-type dovetail mounting plate for attachment of the telescope to the compatible mount of your choice, bringing it's weight down to less than 1.2kg
- Compression ring focuser, which tightens evenly and prevents distorted viewing and damage to accessories.
- Kson's unique tri-lock system with three screws on the focuser and compression ring prevents slippage and can hold accessories firmly.
- Kson's focuser knobs are not plastic like many competitor rings, but are also metal, for lifetime use.
