Fabric types:

At 7.8g (1/4oz) the 1.43oz DCF is slightly see through. The ultralight choice.

At 9.6g (1/3oz) the 2.92oz DCF is tougher and less see through. It is the same as 1.43oz DCF but has a 50D polyester face as well, making it more rugged, not that 1.43oz DCF is weak, it’s the stuff I use in bear bags!

About Wild Sky Gear

Wild Sky Gear was started by Skye McGregor, a British 15 year old who hiked Lands’ End to John O'Groats solo. I hiked through the winter and to keep my pack light started making my own gear and then sold some of the surplus. This turned out to be a bit more successful than I had anticipated, and now I’m constantly sewing.

Waterproofing:

This pouch has taped seams, waterproof fabric, and a YKK Aquaguard zip making it very water resistant. Water is sneaky and has a knack for getting just about everywhere, I’d recommend (like all manufacturers) protecting moisture sensitive items with a zip lock bag as well.
