Item Description

A liquid, ready-to-use glaze with a high gloss and an iridescence similar to mother-of-pearl. While glaze can be used on any Amaco clay, it develops the greatest opalescence and most interesting textures when applied over Amaco #67 Sedona Red clay. Best results are achieved with three or four applications. On textured ware, the glaze flows thin on relief and thick in incised areas, accenting details. Apply on bisque by brushing, dipping or pouring. On red bisque, glaze should be applied heavily and a slow firing is best. Excellent results for raku. Recommended firing temperature is Cone 05 (1915 degrees F). Contains no lead or cadmium. Food safe when fired to recommended temperatures. Pint jar. Moss Green. AP Seal, non-toxic.
