We took these photos in afternoon and High Noon sunshine, and what you see is what you get. The exact color of light you will get will vary with the voltage applied; if you have low voltage, it will be warmer; and, with higher voltage (typical here in Alabama) it will appear cooler. Also, color will vary from year to year; and even from batch to batch, or bulb to bulb. We can not promise that you will like it; since it is labeled by the maker as purple, that is how we label it, as to do otherwise would be false advertising. We can not, therefore, promise that everyone will like this shade of purple, and we only allow returns for defective product (dead bulbs). The same applies to the flame color. It is incredibly difficult to find any shade of purple at all, and this is the best we can do. We just can not put ourselves in the position of arguing the semantics of the word purple, or the shades of the color purple. This has color been very popular with folks down South. They are extremely popular for Mardi Gras. It is incredibly difficult to find any shade of purple in incandescent bulbs at all. Here is hoping that you will understand our difficulty in this matter of taste in color, finding different shades, and the impossibility of pleasing everyone; this item is sold As Is, especially  in the State of Maryland, as to the finish of the bulb, and color. returns for any reason other than defective, any bulbs opened or used and returned without what we judge to be a factory defect subject to up to fifty percent restocking charge and loss of shipping cost.
