Description
This VIBRANT cotton 1910's/20's red, teal, pink and cheddar "Seth Thomas Rose" quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with multiple borders.
It measures a generous 82" X 84" and is in excellent, never washed condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear.
The quilting is superb, with quilting around the applique and in straight line, grid, leag, and feathered wreath designs in the background, all at an even 8-10 stitches to the inch, with faint pencil marks still visible in places.
The back is white, the hand stitched binding is rolled over from the front, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
The WONDERFUL COLORS, GREAT DESIGN, and SUPERB CONDITION make this vintage COLLECTOR'S QUILT stand out!
