A VERY RARE SCHEELITE CRYSTAL MATRIX SPECIMEN FROM KERN COUNTY, CA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am reluctantly offering this up as it has remained a staple in my CA scheelite fluorescent collection, might pull back at any time, material now is unavailable, try and find one elsewhere. They make cut stones with this grade of crystal.
Endeavoring to bring high quality fluorescents to the average collector and future displayer of fluorescent minerals! This is my best scheelite in my collection, it won't go easily. This was definitely gem grade cutting material, but I find it more worthy as a specimen.
I would hate for this to go to a gem cutter, it's best as a natural specimen. I CANNOT EXPRESS JUST HOW BRIGHT THIS SPECIMEN FLUORESCES, A TRUE DISPLAY QUALITY SPECIMEN, I'D KEEP BUT I HAVE TOO MUCH ALREADY. CHECK THIS AND MANY OTHER SPECIMENS OF BRIGHT FLUORESCENT BLUE SHORT-WAVE SCHEELITE FROM CALIFORNIA. THESE ARE EXTREMELY RICH PIECES AND WHILE THE PHOTOGRAPHY IS SUB-PAR, THE SPECIMEN IS TOP CLASS!
Sorry no mine location available, comes with a label from The University of Amsterdam Geological Institute.
DISPLAY MUSEUM QUALITY & EXCELLENT FLUORESCENT SPECIMEN!!! This specimen is an excellent example of a single matrix Scheelite XL (fl. blue/white SW) and Feldspar (fl. moderate red SW) in Quartz from Kern County, California, USA. FANTASTIC example of this fluorescent species from this locale! Displays wonderfully. The size of the specimen is 6" (15 cm) by 2-1/2" (6.3 cm) by 2" (5 cm), a large CABINET sized MUSEUM specimen. The partially exposed crystal measures approximately 2-1/2" (6.3 cm) by 1-1/2" (3.8 cm), you will read of this type of occurrence in CA mineralogical texts but rarely will you ever see such a large perfect intact crystal in matrix like this. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS OPPORTUNITY. Great to add to a competitive display. Check this and my many other offerings now and in the days to come. The fluorescent picture(s) are under SW UV light, I am using a Superbright SW lamp. I apologize for any quality issues with my photographs, I am not a photographer, but a field collector at heart. The specimens I sell are much better in person, check out my feedbacks!
Do not miss out in adding one of these high quality examples of California fluorescence/mineralogy.
I am an active member of the Fluorescent Mineral Society, PAST UV Waves Editor, and have been a member for over 40+ years. Although I don't feel that aged. I know what fellow fluorescent hobbiests are looking for, and will only offer quality here. I do guarantee my offerings, and as you see in my feedbacks, many buyers tell me how the specimens are better in person.
PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PURCHASING THE ITEM.
The shipping on this specimen is $25.00 for domestic bidders and $100 for international bidders. I do combine auctions to reduce overall combined shipping costs for multiple specimen purchases, but not likely for this specimen as it will ship separately. Payment is required immediately, and shipping is non-negotiable. I will like eat a lot of cost as eBay and PayPal fees amount to 15% of the purchase price.
HAPPY HUNTING AND THANKS FOR VIEWING MY OFFERINGS! KEEP CHECKING BACK AS I HAVE ROUTINE OFFERINGS OF VERY HIGH QUALITY!!
