I am selling "Batalia De La Calugareni 13 August 1595," Studiu Militar De Capitanul Alex. Anastasiu. (Battle of Calugareni 13 Aust 1595, A Military Study by Capt. Alex. Anastasiu). Published by Tipografia Vointa Nationala, Bucuresci, 1901. I believe the book is in Romanian. This is a history/account of a battle between Romanian/Hungarian forces and advancing Ottoman forces. The Romanians were vastly outnumbered and were clear victors in the battle. This book is extremely RARE. Shows wear and some fading to spine. Gift note appears and the remnants of another gift note appears on the title page. Internally, spine is cracked and a tape repair was done. THIS COPY WAS SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR IN A NOTE ON THE TITLE PAGE. A Good copy. Measures 6 1/4 X 9, 54 pages plus a battle map appears. I have not been able to locate any other copies of this book in all of my internet searches. It appears that a reprint of this book was published in 1928 and I have not been able to find any copies of that edition as well!! I will offer this signed, original 1901 edition for only $175.00 plus $3.00 S&H in the US. Shipping costs to Canada will be considerably less than the general international rates quoted.
